Industrial Sewing Machine Operative

Here at Halmer Recruit we are currently recruiting for an Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our busy client based in Aldershot.

This is a temporary ongoing position for at least until Christmas starting in November

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes…

• Experience on an Industrial sewing Machine.
• Have a great hand eye coordination.
• Someone who’s able to work within a busy environment on different products.
• Be someone who’s happy to work within a factory/warehouse environment.
• Previous warehouse or factory experience would be helpful but not essential.
• Be someone who’s happy to spend their working day either on their feet all day & equally happy to be sat at a machine all day.
• Be able to start asap.

The role consists of:

• Using an Industrial sewing machine on the products
• Sewing fabrics together according to clients diagrams/specification.
• Cutting fabrics to size & pinning them for sewing.
• Working within a busy sewing machine room of a factory.

Hours, Days & Pay…

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00am until 17:00pm (Can be flexible and can be part time)
• 2x 15 mins break (one morning & one afternoon) & 1x 30 min lunch break
• Weekly pay
• £12.00 + Holiday pay = £13.45 per hour
