Warehouse Operative Woking – £14.62 per Hour | Halmer Group

The Opportunity

Halmer Group is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Woking to join a busy warehouse team. This is a hands-on role involving goods-in, order picking and packing, dispatch preparation and general warehouse duties.

The role would suit a reliable, hardworking and organised individual who is comfortable carrying out physical and manual work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Previous warehouse, goods-in, picking or packing experience is desirable but not essential, making this an opportunity for candidates with relevant transferable experience as well as those looking to develop their warehouse skills.

The role is initially supported by day-shift training from 08:00 to 16:00, before moving onto the regular shift of 15:00 to 21:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming goods.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Prepare goods for dispatch.
• Move, sort and store warehouse stock.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse environment.
• Complete general warehouse duties as required.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work effectively as part of the wider warehouse team.

Requirements

Essential

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking approach.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
• Comfortable carrying out physical and manual warehouse work.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.

Desirable

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Goods-in experience.
• Order picking experience.

Working Hours

Regular shift: 15:00 – 21:00

Training shift: 08:00 – 16:00

What’s On Offer

• Basic pay: £14.62 per hour.
• Total hourly pay including holiday: £16.38 per hour.
• Day-shift training from 08:00 – 16:00.
• Regular shift of 15:00 – 21:00.
• Warehouse role based in Woking.
