Warehouse Operative – Slough (Temp to Perm, Immediate Start, Full Time)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative based in Slough. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position offering £13.07 per hour plus holiday pay (£14.65 per hour inclusive of holiday pay) whilst working through the agency. Upon successful completion of the temporary period, the role will become permanent with an annual salary in line with the client’s permanent pay structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate warehouse equipment including MHE, forklift trucks, VNA trucks, pallet trucks and other handling equipment where authorised
• Load, unload and move products safely throughout the warehouse
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately
• Carry out goods-in and goods-out duties ensuring products are free from damage
• Use RF scanning equipment for picking, receiving and stock movements
• Assist with stock counts and inventory control
• Carry out daily equipment inspections and report any faults
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse
• Work safely in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
• Support the wider warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Experience operating MHE or forklift trucks advantageous
• Ability to work within a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable using handheld RF scanners
• Flexible approach to working hours and overtime when required
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
