The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Screen Plate Maker to join a well-established printing company based in Aldershot. This is a full-time temp to perm opportunity offering excellent training, career development and the chance to become part of a friendly and supportive production team.

The pay rate whilst temporary is £12.71 per hour plus holiday pay, giving a total pay rate of £14.24 per hour.

This role is ideal for someone with previous screen preparation or plate making experience within the printing industry. However, full training will be provided for a motivated individual looking to build a long-term career within print production.

Key Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality screen printing plates to production specifications
• Preparing artwork and screens ready for print production
• Coating, exposing and developing screens
• Carrying out quality inspections throughout the plate making process
• Ensuring screens meet production and quality standards
• Maintaining plate making equipment
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
• Working closely with the production team to meet daily production schedules
• Following all Health & Safety procedures
• Supporting continuous improvement across the production department

Requirements

• Previous experience within screen or plate making desirable
• Previous print production experience beneficial
• Comfortable working in a production environment where work can become messy
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and punctual
