Press Brake Operator – West Molesey (£17.93ph, Night Shift, 4-Day Week)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator based in West Molesey, Surrey. This is a full-time night shift position offering £16.00 per hour plus holiday pay, equivalent to £17.93 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.

You’ll work Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm to 4:00am, giving you a 4-day working week with every Friday off.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Press Brake Operator, CNC Press Brake Operator, Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator looking for consistent night-shift work within a busy manufacturing and engineering environment.

You’ll be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce accurate sheet metal components, working from engineering drawings and ensuring finished parts meet the required dimensions, tolerances and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate press brake machinery
• Operate CNC and/or manual press brakes
• Produce accurate sheet metal components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Select and set the correct press brake tooling
• Work accurately to specified dimensions and tolerances
• Inspect finished components using verniers, calipers and angle gauges
• Use other measuring and inspection equipment as required
• Adjust machine settings to maintain production accuracy
• Carry out first-off inspections
• Complete ongoing quality inspections throughout production
• Identify and report quality or production issues
• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

Requirements

• Previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery highly desirable
• Experience as a Press Brake Operator, CNC Press Brake Operator or Brake Press Operator
• Applications also welcomed from experienced Sheet Metal Workers and Fabricators with relevant press brake experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to work accurately to measurements and tolerances
• Experience using standard measuring and inspection equipment
• Confident using verniers, calipers and similar measuring tools
• Good understanding of manufacturing quality standards
• Comfortable working a permanent night shift
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
