Operations & Logistics Coordinator West Drayton | £30k–£35k

The Opportunity

Halmer Group is recruiting an Operations & Logistics Coordinator in West Drayton on behalf of our client, offering a salary of £30,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position working 9:00am–5:00pm, ideal for an experienced freight forwarding or international logistics professional looking for a varied operational role with responsibility.

You will coordinate international air, sea and road freight, managing import and export shipments from start to finish. Working with customers, overseas agents, carriers, suppliers and internal teams, you will help ensure shipments are handled accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines.

The position would suit someone who is organised, comfortable managing their own workload and able to support the wider team when required. Experience with CargoWise would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage import and export shipments from start to finish.
• Coordinate international air, sea and road freight movements.
• Prepare and manage Air Waybills (AWBs) and other relevant shipping documentation.
• Coordinate customs clearance and customs-related processes.
• Use CargoWise to manage shipments, documentation and operational tasks.
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, carriers and suppliers.
• Resolve operational issues and keep customers informed of shipment progress.
• Manage multiple shipments, deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Support and coordinate with other members of the team when required.
• Provide support with sales and customer development where required.
• Ensure shipments are handled accurately and efficiently within required deadlines.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and attention to detail.

Requirements

Essential:

• Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics or international shipping.
• Experience or knowledge of air, sea and road freight.
• Previous experience using CargoWise.
• Familiarity with import, export and customs procedures.
• Ability to manage your own workload and priorities effectively.
• Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers, carriers and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a busy environment.
