Machine Operator (Honing) – Andover (Full Time, Permanent, Early Finish Fridays)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator (Honing) based in Andover. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of £29,120 to £31,200 per annum, depending on experience. The role is based on-site and offers an excellent working pattern with an early finish every Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate honing machines safely and efficiently
• Manufacture high-quality precision engineered components
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required
• Inspect finished components using measuring equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and daily housekeeping
• Work to production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operative or CNC Operator
• Experience within honing, precision engineering or manufacturing
• Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read engineering drawings (preferred)
• Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers (preferred)
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
