Mobile Garden Maintenance Team Leader London

We are recruiting a Garden Maintenance Team Leader based in London. This is a full time permanent role. Salary is £35,000 to £45,000 per year depending on experience. You will travel across Central London and nearby sites. These include high quality domestic and commercial gardens.

A company van is provided. You can keep it at home, as you will start from home each day. You will visit the yard once a week to stock up on materials. The start date is ASAP.

This role suits an experienced garden maintenance professional who is ready to lead a team. You will be hands on, set standards on site, and support great customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general garden maintenance across indoor and outdoor sites
• Water, plant, prune, and maintain beds, borders, and containers
• Complete irrigation tasks and basic system checks
• Maintain lawns including mowing, edging, feeding, and seasonal care
• Keep gardens looking sharp and well presented at all times
• Lead by example and support the training of team members
• Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard and on time
• Provide excellent service and respond to client queries professionally
• Complete daily electronic job sheets with clear notes and next steps
• Work closely with operations teams and designers when needed
• Plan daily tasks well and manage time across multiple sites
• Follow Health and Safety rules and ensure safe working practices

Requirements

• Full clean UK driving licence and confidence driving a company van
• Right to live and work in the UK
• PA1 and PA6 certificates
• At least two years recent garden maintenance experience
• Strong practical knowledge of planting, pruning, lawn care, irrigation, and seasonal tasks
• Previous Team Leader experience or ready to step up into a lead role
• CSCS card is desirable
• Recognised horticultural qualification is desirable, ideally RHS Level 2 or equivalent

• Comfortable travelling between sites and working independently
