The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for experienced FLT Drivers to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse operation based in Slough. This is a full-time temp to perm opportunity, offering competitive hourly rates, excellent overtime opportunities and genuine long-term career progression.

The temporary pay rate is £14.00 to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Following a successful temporary period, you’ll be offered a permanent salary of £30,600 per annum, together with a performance bonus and enhanced overtime rates, providing excellent earning potential.

This role is ideal for experienced Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Truck Drivers who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are looking for a secure, long-term opportunity with a well-established employer.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving palletised stock throughout the warehouse
• Replenishing warehouse stock locations
• Assisting with Goods In and Goods Out operations
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting when required
• Maintaining accurate stock movement
• Following warehouse procedures and Health & Safety regulations
• Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
• Supporting the wider warehouse team to meet operational targets

Requirements

• Previous Counterbalance and/or Reach FLT experience is essential
• Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach FLT licence preferred
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding work
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts
• Strong attention to safety
• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
