The Opportunity

Halmer Group is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver to join a delivery team based in Feltham.

This temporary-to-permanent position pays £17.84 per hour and involves completing up to 15 deliveries per day across London, the Home Counties and the South.

This is a physical, customer-facing driving role. Deliveries involve more than leaving goods at the door: you may need to carry items up and down stairs and ensure each order reaches the customer as requested. You will also provide support within the Feltham warehouse when required.

The opportunity would suit an experienced Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Multi-Drop Driver who takes pride in providing a professional service and handling customers’ goods carefully.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Complete up to 15 multi-drop deliveries per day.
• Deliver throughout London, the Home Counties and the South.
• Plan and manage deliveries to meet the daily schedule.
• Handle goods carefully at customer premises.
• Carry items up and down stairs where required.
• Ensure each delivery reaches the customer as requested.
• Provide a professional and helpful service at every stop.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Assist with duties in the Feltham warehouse when requested.
• Follow company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Essential

• A valid Class 2 Category C driving licence.
• Ability to undertake a physically demanding delivery role.
• Willingness to carry goods up and down stairs when required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A reliable and flexible approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage a multi-drop delivery schedule.
• Willingness to help with warehouse duties when requested.
• Availability to work the stated Monday-to-Friday hours.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–5:30pm
